Andres Loboguerreo LOBO, a French-Colombian painter, was born in Bogota in 1961.

He travelled to France in 1985 to study, and has lived and worked there ever since.

Since 1993, he has been exhibiting his works – oil paintings on canvas – mainly in France, but also in Colombia, Spain and now here in Germany.

Gota de Ilusion – LOBO

Andres displays a vibrant colour palette in his oil paintings that evoke the essence of Latin America. His canvases overflow with life and joy, where plant forms are depicted with captivating freedom. He openly acknowledges the profound influence of his homeland, although his experience in France is reflected in a marked expressionist tendency that dialogues with Fauvist currents, testimony to his immersion in the European artistic milieu. He indulges in nostalgia for his tropical homeland through the chromatic exuberance and luminous intensity characteristic of the Caribbean, thus merging the influences of both worlds in a visual synthesis that transcends geographical boundaries.
