Carlos Mata

Carlos Mata was born in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) in 1949, and passed away in Barcelona (Spain) in 2008.

He studied art in Barcelona and Paris, cities where he worked for many years and maintained studios.

For many years, Carlos Mata had focused on creating sculptures and had gained international recognition in this field. The central theme in his works was the representation of animals, especially horses, bulls, and cows. The reduced design language he applied, coupled with his exceptional ability to patinate, makes his works truly unique.
